AI-assisted surgical planning
Plan the incision. Forecast the scar.
ScarPath is the first surgical-planning platform that recommends an excision strategy and simulates twelve months of healing. We built it with the dermatologists and plastic surgeons who treat skin tumors every week.
§ 01 The problem
Surgeons treat millions of skin tumors a year, and they still plan each one by hand.
Excision strategy still comes down to the surgeon's intuition. No tool ranks the options or predicts how a scar will heal on a particular patient. Patients walk out of the consultation unable to picture how they will look in a year.
§ 02 Two engines, one workflow
A planning layer for the moment before the cut, and the months after.
Optimal surgical gesture
The surgeon photographs the lesion and reviews the patient's history. ScarPath returns a ranked recommendation of excision approaches, with their trade-offs.
- Surgeon captures a calibrated photograph of the lesion.
- Patient history and risk factors are reviewed.
- The recommendation engine returns ranked surgical strategies in real time.
Scar-healing simulation
For any planned intervention, ScarPath generates a 4×4 grid of forecasted outcomes, so the surgeon can show the patient what to expect at three, six, nine, and twelve months.
- Capture a photograph of the patient and target area.
- Specify the type of intervention and anatomic site.
- ScarPath generates 4×4 forecasted images across twelve months.
- The surgeon reviews and shares the projected outcome with the patient.
§ 03 Why now
A clinical problem meets a generative-AI moment.
Incidence is rising. Skin-cancer cases are growing 2–3% per year worldwide, and surgeons are under increasing pressure to optimize outcomes and reduce litigation risk.
Generative AI got good enough. Diffusion models trained on labelled clinical data can now produce twelve-month scar forecasts you can show to a patient.
The dataset moat is real. ScarPath has secured a proprietary labelled dataset and the legal framework to use it. Those are the two binding constraints on entering this category, and we have both.
The team has done it before. The CEO has four prior exits and the clinical advisors include the president of the French Society of the Face & Neck.
§ 04 Clinical advisory board
Built with the surgeons who will use it.
ScarPath is co-developed with a board of French clinicians whose practice is built around the surgical treatment of skin tumors of the face.
§ 05 Early access
Be there at launch.
Surgeons, dermatologists, hospitals, and partners can register below. We will send one email when ScarPath opens its pilot program. That is it.
Thank you.
You're on the list. We'll be in touch when ScarPath opens its pilot program.
